For this Sixth Sunday of Easter, we continue to proclaim the Good News, “Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!” Today, we hear Jesus speak to the disciples and us that he will give us an Advocate, who will be like Jesus. This is the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus comes to abide with his disciples of every generation. As Pentecost draws near, we are reminded that the risen Christ dwells in us as the Spirit of truth. Jesus promises that we won’t be orphaned nor alone. Jesus is with us always. What does it mean to you that Jesus is always present and available through the Holy Spirit? What is your response?

Take care. Be well. Keep your distance so that we, along with our neighbors, can together stay well and save lives.

With confidence and hope in the risen Jesus Christ.
