“Every quilt has a story.”  – Suzie B., Grass Valley

Peacemakers quilting group

American women have gathered for centuries to create beautiful and functional quilts. At PEACE, we continue this tradition.

Peacemakers meet 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursdays at the church to design, sew, quilt and tie beautiful creations. Fellowship, coffee and baked goodies add to the fun!

You don’t have to be a church member to participate. You don’t even need to know anything about quilting. Participants can sort fabric, iron, sew and tie square knots. And, we’ll teach interested beginners how to make a simple baby quilt.

Peacemakers’ quilts are donated to our graduating high schoolers, to babies baptized here, to shut-ins, to our local maternity center, to local charities and nonprofit raffles, to disaster victims and to the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital.

Donations of cotton fabric are always welcome.
