Contemporary Issues Study Group

Members of the Contemporary Issues Study Group choose topics of interest to the community and organize talks on several facets of the topic. They invite local and regional leaders with expertise on the subjects, and sometimes go on field trips to learn more.

Topics in the past have included other religions, immigration, end of life, health care reform, environmental issues, education, and issues facing local public officials. The Study Group typically organizes two to three programs each year, and each program is made up of weekly talks on Wednesday mornings over a span of six weeks.
