For this Seventh Sunday of Easter, we continue to proclaim the Good News, “Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!” Today, we hear Jesus pray for his disciples, and therefore, us and our mission. Amid religious, social, and economic divisions, we seek the unity that Jesus had with his Father. Made one in baptism, we go forth to live our faith in the world, eager for the unity that God intends for the whole human family. What does being one together mean to you? What does being one look like for the church? Being followers of Jesus, what is our response to Jesus’ desire for us to be one?
