For the Fifth Sunday of Easter when we continue to proclaim the Good News, “Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!” Today, we hear Jesus speak to the disciples and us that he goes to prepare a place for us and through him, we will know God, who is our parent. Jesus is the way and we are his beloved children. What does it mean for us to follow the way prepared by Jesus? How will the people around us know Jesus through us? In words and deeds, we bear witness to the risen Jesus Christ, who is our way, our truth, our life. This Sunday is also Mother’s Day. We thank God for the gift of mothers.
