We celebrate the Christ, our King!
Christ is King! Today is kind of like New Year’s Eve in the church calendar. We have had readings about troubled times, even end times. But our readings always point to the One who will come and “deal wisely, and execute justice and righteousness in the land.”
Dueling Organs… and More! – 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. Two keyboard magicians, two organs and a piano, one evening of spellbinding music and performance! Featuring Walt Strony and Thomas Greathouse. Admission by donation. Proceeds benefit the Peace Organ Fund.
Today, Jesus reminds us that, no matter what we are going through, he is with us. Jesus the Christ – God’s Anointed One – reconciles us to God. Christ the King has made peace between us and God forever. When the time comes, we will be with him in Paradise!
Come and experience the Peace of Christ the King at PEACE Lutheran Church! Worship services today start at 8:30 & 11 a.m. We hope you would join us afterward for coffee and baked goods!
Holy Source of true life, we beg you to inspire us to trust in you, knowing you guide us beyond the turmoil of this world. Send us into the world fearlessly, bearing the joyful news that Christ is King of all people! Amen.
The thief said to Jesus, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” – Luke 23:33-43

Sunday School
Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.
This fall, we have Old Testament lessons. We’ll learn about some amazing faith ancestors, including Ruth and Naomi, King David, Queen Esther, Daniel and Jonah. In winter, we’ll turn to stories of Jesus’ life and ministry – healings, parables and miracles.
Toddlers & babies
Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.
Toddler Time: If you’re interested in our special Sunday School program for the tiniest of disciples, call (530) 575-6132. https://www.wearesparkhouse.org/store/category/286879/Frolic-Nursery

Your spiritual growth – Make Christ King of your life!
We would love to grow spiritually with you!
Like natural seasons, our church seasons have a special meaning for our spiritual lives.
Today is the last Sunday in the church’s Time After Pentecost. For the past several months, we read stories about what it means to live our lives as God’s People. Starting next Sunday, we begin the season of Advent – a time of waiting and watching for the coming of God’s Anointed One in the form of a child.
Thank you, God for sending your Holy Spirit – who fills me with the strength to tell the world of your love! Amen.
