Jesus offers light for your path!
The light of Jesus’ love and guidance helps us navigate the everyday bumps, bruises and beauties that come our way. And, when we let that light into our hearts, it shines through us to everyone we meet.
As baptized children of God, we walk a path filled with light. We can let everything we do reflect God’s light, no matter how small or trivial the task. Jesus walks right alongside us and help us. When we fail, he picks us up and helps us persevere.
At PEACE Lutheran Church, we gather each Sunday to pray for this light in our lives. We praise God for it, sing and give thanks for it. When we break bread together, we know this light fills us again. We invite you to seek and celebrate this light with us. Our yearly congregational meeting follows the service, in the Fellowship Center.
Holy Light of God, please open my eyes to the light you bring to my life each day. Help me be a light to others! Amen.

Adult Bible Study: The Adult Forum meets at 9:45 a.m. today in the Fellowship Hall. Ron and Conni Barker share their experiences in the Holy Land and relate familiar Bible stories to the places today. Pick up coffee & cookies on the way over!

Sunday School
Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.
We are learning about some amazing faith ancestors, including King David, Queen Esther, Daniel and Jonah. Plus, we offer stories of Jesus’ life and ministry – healings, parables and miracles.
Toddlers & babies
Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their squirming and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.

Coming up at PEACE
- Silent Movies with Walt Strony presents “The Kid Brother” – 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16. This Harold Lloyd film from 1927 will keep you laughing. Organist Walt Strony plans music from the period for this fun event. Stay tuned for the title! Admission is by donation. A FREE wine-and-cheese reception follows the film.

We would love to grow spiritually with you, no matter where you are in your spiritual path.
Like natural seasons, our church seasons have a special meaning for our spiritual lives. The church year resembles a pilgrim journey: Each season helps us focus our spiritual growth in a different way.
Today is the fifth Sunday in the church’s season of Epiphany. The word’s Greek roots mean “to make known all around.” Our Bible stories show how God made known Jesus’ mission on this Earth. As the days slowly grow lighter, we think of Jesus as the Light of the World. God’s Anointed One offers hope to all people!
Thank you, God for making your Son known to us. Shine your light on us and the whole world today! Amen.
