Blessed are those who weep – huh? That doesn’t sound very appealing. We’d much rather laugh, right? But life is full of things that make us sad, make us weep, make us wail and moan. And Jesus promises that, in God’s arms, all our sadness turns to joy.
Jesus told the crowd, “Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.” – Luke 6:21b
We all go back and forth between weeping and laughing. The world has us so distracted and confused! At Peace Lutheran Church, we gather each Sunday in worship to bring to God all that makes us weep. As we sing and pray and listen together, God’s Holy Spirit flows through us and turns all our suffering to joy. That’s a promise! Come and see at 10 a.m. worship today – only ONE WORSHIP SERVICE today.
Holy Source of true joy, we beg you to turn our weeping into laughter. Remind us that you are the source of all true joy! Amen.

Sunday School
Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.
This fall, we have Old Testament lessons. Where our story left off: The Children of Israel have been wandering in the wilderness for 40 years and are about to cross over into the Promised Land. We’ll learn about some amazing faith ancestors, including Ruth and Naomi, King David, Queen Esther, Daniel and Jonah. In winter, we’ll turn to stories of Jesus’ life and ministry – healings, parables and miracles.
Toddlers & babies
Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.

- “Dueling Organs & More!” – 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. Two keyboard magicians, two organs and a piano, one evening of spellbinding music and performance! Featuring Walt Strony and Thomas Greathouse. Admission by donation. Proceeds benefit the Peace Organ Fund.
- Taizé Evening Prayer – 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Sanctuary. Experience a different kind of spirituality, as God touches you in this atmosphere of candles, music, chants, Bible readings and prayer.
