For this Sixth Sunday after Pentecost, as we continue our journey with Jesus and his disciples through the Gospel of Matthew and follow Jesus’ call to discipleship. The path of discipleship challenges us who follow Jesus. The seed of God’s word is planted in us. God’s word is like the rain that waters the earth and brings forth vegetation. It is also like the sower who scatters seed indiscriminately. Our lives are like seeds sown in the earth. Even from what appears to be little, dormant, or dead, God promises a harvest. How have you experienced this seed? In what ways have you shared this seed with the people around you?
