Pray with us for Christian Unity!

January 18-25 is being marked around the world as a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. People of faith around the globe will be contemplating the theme of how God calls us to be “united in a sacred covenant with God,” and how that unity “is integral to the Lord’s plan of salvation,” according to Fr. Thomas Orians, SA, associate director Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute.

Faith congregations in western Nevada County, including PEACE Lutheran Church, will participate in this stirring series of events.

A Meditative Prayer Service at PEACE will mark the final day of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity at 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, in our Sanctuary. All people are welcome to attend, regardless of your faith (or lack of it) or where you are in your spiritual journey!

PEACE member Liz Ekblad will provide beautiful harp music. The service will include times of shared prayer and times for personal, meditative prayer.
