How Do You Know When It’s Time to Move?

Your next move – how do you know?

Moving out of one’s lifelong home is a big transition. Knowing when it’s the right time can be difficult.

“How do you know when it’s time for your ‘next move’?” is the topic of a new series of free, weekly workshops offered by the Contemporary Issues Study Group. The first session is from 9:15-10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at PEACE Lutheran Church, 828 W. Main St., Grass Valley (near downtown). The series will continue weekly for four Wednesdays through Feb. 3.

The first session will offer information on retirement communities and care facilities in western Nevada County, including independent and assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing care.

Subsequent sessions will offer information on elder care and benefits, physical health, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, hospice care and an update on the status of the Affordable Care Act.

All sessions are 90 minutes and include question-and-answer periods. Coffee and baked goods are served at 9 a.m. For more information, call (530) 273-9631.
