Then He’ll send you to catch people!
Jesus chose fishermen to catch people for his ministry that was going to change the world. What a smart move! Fisher folk know how to put out their line and wait patiently. They might work hard all night long, yet catch nothing. They might sit there by the bank all day.
Jesus told them, “From now on, you will be catching people.” – Luke 5:10
They watch. They wait. Then, the right moment comes, and the fish appear!
In our readings today, Jesus calls people to help him tell an amazing story. God loves you! God wants you! God has a very special plan for you, a mission you can’t even imagine. Are you ready to leave behind the world’s ideas about what success means?

Fish-catching God, please help me to become your loving and patient fisher folk, telling everyone of the Good News of your lavish, forever, no-matter-what love. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Congratulations to our Youth @ PEACE! Thanks to the generosity of this congregation, our young people collected $962 and 32 food items during the Souper Bowl of Caring last week. Everything was donated to our local food pantry, Interfaith Food Ministry.
Most Sundays, meet us at 9:45 a.m. in the Game Room (near the Fellowship Center). After a little fussbol, we move to our Youth & Family Lounge for a Sunday School lesson. TODAY: Did you know that Jesus was once 12 years old, too?
On the first Sunday of each month, we meet right after the 10 a.m. worship – at about 11:15 a.m. – in the Youth & Family Lounge.
Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.
Toddlers & babies
Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.

Like natural seasons, our church seasons have a special meaning for our spiritual lives. For us, we now observe the season of Epiphany. During this spiritual season, we read stories that reveal Jesus as the Son of God and the Anointed One who mends this broken world. We would love to grow spiritually with you!
