WORSHIP AT 10 a.m. TODAY!

Let Jesus be your light! Today starts the season of Epiphany. The word evokes the image of a light shining all around – especially, all around me! God sent Jesus to be a light to the whole world. Jesus – God in the flesh, born as a poor child in a backwater of the Empire – shows all people how to live.

Arise, shine! For your light has come. – Isaiah 60:1

God wants us to treat each other kindly, to care for each other, to care for the Earth he gave us.And, God wants us to seek God’sface. We find that in each other and in the Bible – a history of God’s love poured out onto the world over time. Seek and shine with us today! We have ONE WORSHIP SERVICE TODAY at 10 a.m.

God of light, please shine in me now, today. Help me to see your face! Amen.

Today at Peace

ONE WORSHIP at 10 a.m.

Today’s Bible readings: Isaiah 60:1-6; Psalm 72:1-7, 10-14; Ephesians 3:1-12; Matthew 2:1-12. Read them here.

Children’s Program TODAY: Youth @ PEACE will present “Gabriel and the Gang of Angels,” our Christmas-Epiphany program. We’ll hear the familiar story from the perspective of those divine messengers, who are fed up with the foolish humans.

Officiating: The Rev. Bill Wong. We are so happy to receive Pastor Wong as our interim pastor while we transition to a new, settled pastor.

Coffee Fellowship: After each worship service, please head down the hall to our Fellowship Center for coffee and baked goods.

Need pastoral care? Please call the office at (530) 273-9631. Our office opens Monday through Thursday, 8:30am-3:30pm; closed for lunch 12-1pm.

Sunday School

Meet at 9:45 a.m. most Sundays in the Game Room (near the Fellowship Center). After a little fussbol, we move to our Youth & Family Lounge for a Sunday School lesson. TODAY, we meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary for one last practice before presenting “Gabriel and the Gang of Angels” at 10 a.m. worship.

Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.

Toddlers & babies

Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.

Toddler Time: If you’re interested in our special Sunday School program for the tiniest of disciples, call (530) 575-6132.

Your spiritual growth

Like natural seasons, our church seasons have a special meaning for our spiritual lives. For us, today marks the beginning of Epiphany. During this season, we read the stories that reveal Jesus as the Son of God and the Anointed One who mends this broken world. We would love to grow spiritually with you!
