John says: Get baptized!
As we prepare for the Christmas baby, suddenly John the Baptist appears in our readings. Get baptized!, he cries. Because another one is coming – Jesus – and he will prune away everything that hinders your spiritual growth. So start now. Live your life worthy of the calling God has called you to live out!
John told the crowds about the coming Messiah, “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” – Luke 3:16

Sunday School
Meet at 9:45 in the Game Room (near the Fellowship Center) to work on our Christmas program. We present “Gang of Angels) at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6.
Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.
Toddlers & babies
Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.
Toddler Time: If you’re interested in our special Sunday School program for the tiniest of disciples, call (530) 575-6132.

Exercise class – Get fit at PEACE! Fun, inspiring exercise at 11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Fellowship Center.
December Mini-Concert – 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, in the Sanctuary. Walt Strony and Thomas Greathouse perform on keyboard. FREE! Get relief from the holiday rush. A short service of evening prayer follows at 6 p.m.

Your spiritual growth
Like natural seasons, our church seasons have a special meaning for our spiritual lives. For us, the time spanning the four Sundays before Christmas is the season of Advent. During this season, we watch and wait for signs of God, who comes near to us in the form of the Christ Child. We would love to grow spiritually with you!
