This bread comes from God’s spirit!

Jesus is bread? We eat him?? Jesus understood that his words can be hard to understand. For some, they are even harder to accept. But he promises they are true!

Jesus is more nourishing than regular bread, because this “bread” comes directly from the source of all life – God, our loving, creating, redeeming Parent. God, who yearns to have a relationship with you!

Peter replied, “You have the words of eternal life.” – John 6:68

Jesus explained that his words are “spirit and life.”God invites you to nourish yourself with thisfood and drink that leave you deeply satisfied. God’s bread and water fill you forever. Really!

We would love to feed our faith with you at worship services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. today. (We hope you’ll stay for coffee and baked goodies!)

Gracious, loving God, please feed me! I want to eat your mysterious, miraculous bread! Give me your amazing, all-healing water! Amen.

Your spiritual growth

Like natural seasons, our church seasons have a special meaning for our spiritual lives. For us, we are in “Time After Pentecost,” a season of growth – much like summer! Read about Time After Pentecost here.

Adult Bible Study

Not today! Most Sundays during the summer months, our Adult Bible Study will be on break.

Sunday School

We’re on break for the summer! But join us for a Family Fun Night tonight! It’s from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at the Nevada City United Methodist Church, 433 Broad St., Nevada City. Turkey taco dinner and games including Farkle.

Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.

Toddlers & babies

Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.

Toddler Time: If you’re interested in our special Sunday School program for the tiniest of disciples, call (530) 575-6132 for information. It’s available starting in the fall.
