A Prayer for Veterans
We offer this Veterans Day prayer in thanks to all those who have served, or are now serving, in the Armed Forces of the United States of America:
Almighty and ever-living God, we give you thanks for the men and women who have served and defended our country and the values of freedom and justice we hold so dear. Help us be mindful of the sacrifices they made and the hardship endured by their families and friends, so that we never take for granted the privileges they have secured for us. Hear us, we pray, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Veterans Welcome Here
Many folks at PEACE Lutheran Church have served in America’s military. We have risked our lives during war and supported our nation’s mission in times of peace. We understand what you have been through, and we are here for you!
At PEACE, we follow a theology of grace. That means believe God loves us, regardless of what we have done or left undone. God forgives us, no matter what has happened or not happened. Our loving Creator sees our possibilities, because we are His children, the work of His hands. Our talents, our gifts and our passions — all are seeds He planted in our hearts. And He wants those seeds to sprout, grow, thrive and bear fruit — for us and for Him and His Kingdom here on earth.
So God lifts us up, dusts us off, sets us on our feet. He feels our pain, knows our yearning, and gives us the strength and courage to seek our victories and survive our failures. Our loving Lord embraces us again and again, always there for us.
At PEACE, we want to embrace you too! Check us out at one of our worship services — at 8:30 & 11 a.m. Sunday mornings at 828 W. Main St., near downtown Grass Valley, Calif.
