Q: How is the Holy Spirit like filling up a balloon?

Answer: When you let it go, you don’t know where it will land.

Be lifted up, carried away & moved into a whole new life! Jesus promised that it’s true – but can we let go of our old life to make way for the new life with Him?

Today is Pentecost – the third of our three major holy days. Today, we remember how the Holy Spirit came to Jesus’ followers. In the form of “a sound like the rush of a violent wind,” God’s Spirit “filled the entire house” where the believers had gathered. It changed them forever, transforming them from scaredy-cats into doers of mighty deeds.

At PEACE Lutheran Church, we welcome all those who yearn to be transformed by God’s mighty Spirit!

“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 2:4

It’s Pentecost! Today we start a season of growth, putting down strong roots and reaching up with strong branches into a new life with Christ Jesus!

Today’s Bible Readings: Acts 2:1-21; Psalm 104:24-34, 35b; Romans 8:14-17; John 14:8-17, 25-27

Today’s Sermon: Pastor Eileen Smith LeVan preaches today.

We Lutherans really enjoy our coffee & baked goodies, so please, come have breakfast with us! After each worship service, we gather in our Fellowship Center for refreshments and conversation. Come make new friends!

Becoming a Good Samaritan. We continue to ponder seriously the ways Jesus is calling each of us, as individuals and as a congregation, to care for our neighbors in need. Led by Pastor Eileen Smith LeVan

Pentecost is here! Our offering to the congregation includes a procession TODAY at the beginning of the 11 a.m. worship service. Meet @ 9:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary to practice.

Youth @ Peace is our all-ages Bible study, teaching key Bible stories – the cornerstone for a lifetime of faith. Younger readers, tweens and teens open each session together, have break-out groups for age-appropriate reading and discussion, then regroup for a joint closing. We also have large-group activities.
