PEACE Lutheran Church will mark 50 years as a faith community in Grass Valley, Calif., with events throughout this year – including reunions and festival worship May 2 and May 3. Anyone who has been associated with the church is invited to attend – and the church is asking for help in getting the news to people who are no longer in the area.

People who were confirmed in the church from 1965-2015 will enjoy a special reunion from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 2, including light food and beverages. Youth leaders will be attending, including Alan and Kellie Harbine of Spokane, Wash. (youth directors 1982-87), and the Rev. Judith Morgado of Lincoln, Calif. (associate pastor 2008-12).

A second day of celebration will include former pastors participating in worship services at 8:45 and 11 a.m. Sunday, May 3. A formal, golden anniversary luncheon will be served at 12:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Center. Founding pastor, the Rev. Wendell Stangeland of Roseville, and long-time senior pastor, the Rev.
