What You Can Do To Help People In Houston
We feel sick-at-heart about the devastation we see in the Houston, Texas area left in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. We want to help in any way we can, even from a distance. Here’s how:

Pray: Please pray for all people who have been affected and who yet remain in the path of now-Tropical Storm Harvey. May God’s healing presence give them peace and hope in their time of need.

Lutheran Disaster Response has a long history of working with local organizations and cooperating with other relief organizations, when disaster strikes anywhere in the world. They see Lutherans among the first to arrive and the last to leave.
In Houston, the affiliate of Lutheran Disaster Response started working with local leaders and officials even before Hurricane Harvey hit to deal with the storm’s devastation. Their goal: long-term recovery, walking with the people affected by this crisis through every phase. This work is expected to take years. Lutheran Disaster Response will remain there with Texans as they rebuild.
