MEF SUNDAY—MAY 19, 2024

Each year on a Sunday in May, our congregation celebrates the work of the Mission Endowment Fund (MEF). MEF is a committee that is “Designated to promote responsible Christian Stewardship and to expand and enhance the mission outreach objectives of Peace Lutheran church….” “As stewards of God’s resources, we have the privilege and responsibility to make a lasting impact on the world.

The Mission Endowment Board plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and growth of nonprofit organizations. It is a legacy of love and purpose.” When we contribute to MEF, we extend God’s generosity to others in need.

On May 19th at the 10:00 am service, we will hear about one of the many missions we support. Richard Crandall from Sierra Services for the Blind will give a temple talk de-scribing the roll Sierra Services for the Blind plays in our community and how our contri-butions help make these services possible.

Following the service, there will be a reception in the Fellowship Center. Mr. Crandall will be present to answer any questions that you might have about Sierra Services for the Blind and what it does. Dennis Berg will also present information about our MEF and the financial support it has provided to those in need. Refreshments of cake, beverages, and other goodies will be offered. Please use your MEF offering envelope to donate to this worthy cause. Donations will also be accepted on line at the Peace website.
