“Acclaim the Lord, all people on Earth!… Let the sea roar and all its creatures, the world and those who dwell in it; let the rivers clap their hands, let the hills sing aloud together before the Lord!”
This fun and active program offers stories, music, crafts, science, games, snacks & God’s word for children entering pre-school through grade 6. Fee is $20 per child, $5 for each additional child in the family. Scholarships are available – NO CHILD will be turned away for lack of funds.
Registration sheets are available in the Atrium at PEACE and on the first day of camp. Please arrive at 8:30 a.m. on the first day.
For the next three years, our multi-church Vacation Bible School will focus on stewardship of God’s creation. The curriculum has been developed by participating church members, based on a program written by the Society of Friends called “Earthcare for Children.”
Reading the Bible, singing songs, worship and reading stories will mix with exploring of the natural world during this 4-day program. Children will learn to appreciate the beauty of nature and its amazing properties.
Hand chimes will be taught from 12-12:30 p.m. daily. No musical experience is needed!
Hand chimes will be taught from 12-12:30 p.m. daily. No musical experience is needed! Children will learn to play music on the very first day, and they’ll perform at the concluding Family Program at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 23.
During the hour-long Parent Program, children will perform songs they have learned and show projects they completed during the camp. Snacks and beverages will be served.
In addition to PEACE Lutheran Church, other participating churches are Grass Valley United Methodist, Nevada City United Methodist, Emmanuel Episcopal and Trinity Episcopal churches.
