We welcome you on Christmas Eve!
Christmas Eve services at PEACE Lutheran Church offer beautiful music, favorite carols, candlelight, prayer and a message of lavish love poured out for you and for all people.
God doesn’t care how much money you make. God doesn’t care what your clothes look like. God sees into your heart and knows everything about you. And God knows just what you need – unfailing love. Love that overpowers anything the world can throw at you.
At Christmas, we pray “O Come, Emanuel.” This means, “Come, God-with-us!” God in the flesh. God with a face. God who understands our every human weakness.
Jesus. Emanuel. God-With-Us.
Two worship services
At the 4 p.m. service, we’ll sing even more than we usually do (we Lutherans love to sing). The music is from “Candles and Carols” – arrangements of familiar Christmas carols. Our readings from the Bible narrate the story of the birth of Jesus – Fully-God-and-Fully-Man.
At the 10 p.m. service, we revel in the mystery of God-made-flesh with a very formal, “high-church” service.
We invite you to partake in Holy Communion at both services. All who feel called by God to share in this meal may come. We serve both wine and grape juice. We believe Jesus gave us this holy meal and commanded us to partake and share with others for our spiritual nourishment.
