Peace is gearing up for a joyful, festive anniversary celebration—we’re 60 years old!—and we want to not only share the good news with each other but also with our neighbors.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to introduce the community to Peace and what we have to offer.

The date—save it, please!
Saturday, June 29, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and the party will be a widespread affair across the Peace facility.

What we are planning includes:

  • Community outreach/publicity and invitation to neighbors
  • Welcome with banners, balloons, greeters
  • Fun and games for kids and adults
  • Free food! BBQ hot dogs, ice cream bars, lemonade
  • Ministry display tables
  • Music offerings – organ, handbell choir, PLC choir
  • Labyrinth and play yard

This congregation-wide event will need many volunteers to welcome our community and host the activities, from parking guides and game emcees to those with aprons and tongs for barbecuing hot dogs. As the many faces of Peace to the community, we want to make any and all newcomers feel welcome and included—that is why we need everyone’s help (there is a role for everyone!).

Please sign up after worship in the Atrium starting April 14 to be part of the celebration—thank you! More announcements will be coming in the weeks ahead.
