“Where did this man get all this?”
We hear how people were amazed by the teaching and healing Jesus did during his ministry. Then, Jesus sends out his chosen Twelve to also preach and heal all who believe that Jesus is God’s son. Today, we are those witnesses, and we are sent out to testify to the extravagant, generous, passionate love Christ has for all people. We are to bring God’s gracious healing to others.
It was a tough job even then. Jesus warned his followers that they might be well-received in other towns, but not in their own – even their own their families would not believe! The Bible tells us that Jesus “was amazed at their unbelief.”
But when we believe, the power of the Holy Spirit is with us! Check out the gospel reading for this coming Sunday at PEACE Lutheran Church.

Earthcare Day Camp – This year’s summer program is 9 a.m.-12 p.m. July 20-23 at Grass Valley United Methodist Church. Our focus is on becoming faithful stewards of God’s amazing creation! Registration is open now – look for sheets on the Welcome Desk in the Atrium at PEACE. Volunteers of all ages are warmly welcomed – see the sign-up sheet in the Atrium! Family Kayak Day – All are invited to spend a day on the water July 25 at Scotts Flat Lake. Hosted by Teen Fling, our multi-church youth group for high-school-age through 21.
