Jesus brings good news to you!

God’s news is sooo different from the world’s news! At a time when mistrust, accusations and fear abound, God assures us that His News of a new way of life is absolutely true. We can believe in complete safety that God is no fake.

In Jesus’ day, people felt confused, too. Today’s Gospel story tells us they were wracked by sickness and troubles. It says Jesus felt “compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” So he sent out his followers, empowered with the ability to cure and work wonders, to take them God’s news of a new kingdom in which love rules.

Jesus told his followers, “Proclaim the good news.” – Matthew 10:7

That new kingdom continues to break in to the world. At PEACE Lutheran Church, we invite you to seek, with us, healing from our ills and assurance that God’s news is true and good for us – here and now.

This time of year is the growing season. In the church, we see it also as a season of spiritual growth. So in these weeks after celebrating Pentecost – when God sent his Holy Spirit to Jesus’ followers – we reflect on stories that encourage us to follow the Spirit wherever it might lead us. Today’s Gospel encourages to feel courage as we proclaim God’s Good News!

Today’s Bible readings: Exodus 19:2-8a; Psalm 100; Romans 5:1-8; Matthew 9:35-10:23. Read them here.

Sunday School

Sunday School is on break for the summer. We invite you to come in the fall as we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation with fun stories about Martin Luther, told through the eyes of his children.

Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn more about our loving, gracious Creator.

Bible memory verses: Kids can earn Bible Bucks for verses they memorize and redeem them for cool prizes! Our goal is for young people to bring God’s word deep into their hearts, supporting a lifetime of faith.

Toddler Time

In the fall, we will resume our special program for the tiniest disciples. God invites ALL children, so bring your babies and squirmy tots for this fun program!
