Even after the Affordable Care Act, many people still cannot afford to pay for health care services. California Care Force is a nonprofit organization providing free mobile clinics for health, dental and vision care.

California Care Force also is receiving financial support from PEACE Lutheran Church.

On Sunday, July 19, a temple talk will be presented during the church’s worship services about the free Care Force clinic coming to the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building Nov. 14 & 15. Mindy Oberne is chair of the Local Host Group in western Nevada County. During the 8:45 & 11 a.m. worship services this Sunday, Oberne will share specifics about the clinic, including the range of free services for patients in need, the achievements of past Care Force clinics, and the many ways in which you can contribute to making this exciting event a success.

PEACE Lutheran Church Women recently donated $300 to California Care Force; and, PEACE’s Mission Endowment Fund also has committed to donating $500.

Care Force partners with individual volunteers, professional organizations,  universities and businesses with the mission of ensuring a healthy California for all people regardless of income, immigration status or education level. These clinics are supported solely by private donation.
