Is Jesus the one to bring peace, hope, joy, and love? The people of his time weren’t sure. Are we? What are the signs that point towards him being the one?
What do an axe and a shoot out of a dead tree have in common with the season of Advent? Both carry an important message of Advent in them: the call to repentance, and the hope of new life sprouting out of death.
Jesus calls us to be ready for his coming into this world. But what does it mean to be ready? And what coming is he talking about? Jesus Christ is coming into the world today, how do we recognize it?
Why do we worry so much? What does it help us? God invites us to cast (literally throw) our worries onto him, because God cares for us. That doesn’t necessarily mean that all will be good. It means that God will be with us in every situation, joy and sadness.
