Sunday—March 22 : There will be a Congregational Meeting after worship service on Sunday, March 22, for approval to changes of the PLC constitution and the MEF constitution. Please plan on attending.

The church council of Peace Lutheran Church proposes the following change to the PLC constitution:

Currently the Constitution states:
Article C12.05 The Congregation Council shall be responsible for the
financial and property matters of this congregation. The Congregation Council may enter into contracts of up to $3,000 for items not included in the budget. Contracts in excess of $3,000 shall require authorization by the Congregation.

Church Council proposes to change the wording as follows:
Article C12.05c The Congregation Council may enter into contracts of up to
$15,000 or 4% of the annual budget, whichever is greater, for items not included in the budget. Contracts in excess of $15,000 or 4% of the annual budget shall require authorization by the Congregation. Rationale for the proposed change:
The amount currently used needs to be updated to account for inflation since the constitution was originally adopted over 20 years ago.
