Peace Lutheran has been invited by “Faith Communities Unite for Climate” to participate with many other Faith Communities in the July 4th parade to advocate for clean energy sources. It would be nice to see a group from PLC participating, as we are all stewards of God’s good creation, and we want to leave this world to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren to live in with less pollution, not worrying about increased natural disasters, and enjoying the beauty and diversity of nature.

Get ready to don your flags and patriotic attire – the 4th of July parade! The 4th of July Parade will take place downtown Grass Valley on Thursday, July 4, 2025, starting at 11am.
Nevada City and Grass Valley trade off on hosting the annual 4th of July Parade, with even number years in Nevada City and odd numbered years Grass Valley. In 2025, the parade will be held in Grass Valley.
A free fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the interchange of Dorsey Drive and can be viewed from various locations around Grass Valley. Find a lot to park in and enjoy the free show. The Grass Valley Downtown Association will also be hosting at Family Pancake Breakfast from 8-10am; and a Mill Street 4th of July Celebration 5-9pm.
