We are joining ELCA congregations everywhere in preparing for this day of service to our community. We have several opportunities here at Peace.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, we will have a work party with our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate; there is still room for more volunteers, and we’re especially hoping for volunteers to bring lunch to our workers.
On ELCA Work Day, we let our community know we are here to serve — in God’s name!
On Sunday afternoon, Sept. 13, volunteers from PEACE will tackle all sorts of jobs at nearby Scotten School. Volunteers also will serenade residents at Springhill Manor and Golden Empire convalescent hospitals with “Golden Oldie” hymns.
