After we started last week with sharing what we believe to be true about hell, and when and where we learned about it, we looked into God’s purpose with creation and humankind not to judge and condemn, but to save.

This week we will look into the Old Testament and where it mentions “Hell”. The King James version of the Bible, which many of us grew up with, translated the Hebrew word “Sheol” with Hell, opening up the door to interpret the meaning of Sheol from a preconceived understanding of Hell. What does Sheol mean? We will examine scriptural references and get a fuller meaning of what Sheol is.

Join us on Sunday after coffee and fellowship in the Cross Room

Here is a preview of what we will be talking about in the coming week:

  • February 8 – Hell in Jesus’ statements
