Join us after service on Sunday, April 19, for an extraordinary Peacemakers Boutique show and sale!

Each Sunday as you make your way from service to good coffee, treats and fellowship, you pass through the Peacemakers workshop with a sampling of the many quilts they make AND Ingrid Larson’s now-famous Teddy Bears. Peacemakers donates quilts and teddies to local charities and, of course, Shriners Children’s Hospital. Last year alone, hundreds of quilts and teddies were donated. A large number of those quilts were made by an industrious Peacemaker, Virginia, in her 90’s!

Membership at Peace Lutheran Church is not necessary to be a Peacemaker – all are welcome at any skill level. As with everything these days, the cost of quiltmaking materials has gone way up even though Peacemakers are always on the lookout for deals. Although some of the fabric used in making the quilts is donated, much more needs to be purchased – that includes backing, batting, thread and other items for all those quilts…and it isn’t cheap. Also the many sewing machines provided for use during their meetings require shop servicing. And sadly our one special machine for quilting those many quilts is sick and may be terminal if a part donor can’t be found.

Committed to continuing this wonderful outreach mission of Peace Lutheran Church, each Peacemaker has made beautiful quilts and other fabric items especially for this Boutique Sale to raise funds to continue the group’s donation efforts.
