The parts of prayer - adoration, confession, request, thanksgiving

The Parts of Prayer

Sunday  School for all ages starts at 9:50 a.m. Sundays during the school season. We meet downstairs in the Youth Room — pick up cookies & juice in the Fellowship Center first!

Raising faithful children to become active and faith-filled adults is our goal in our youth ministry at PEACE Lutheran Church. Bible stories form the cornerstone of our faith, and children who attend Sunday school regularly will learn key stories from the entire Bible over a period of two years.

They’ll also learn Bible verses they will remember for a lifetime, coming to them at times of need as they walk their faith journey. To encourage memorization, children can earn Bible Bucks that can be redeemed for prizes!

PEACE also is a place where young people can question the Bible, the church and their own faith. Young people’s questions need to be aired in an atmosphere that both supports their questioning and offers a faithful structure for wrestling – like Jacob! – with thorny issues.

Teen Fling

On the third Friday of each month, PEACE youth from high-school age to young adults gather with teens from four other area churches to share food, fun, fellowship and faith. Teens plan and organize the events, with pastoral assistance; and parents are welcome to attend.

Teen Flings are from 6 to 9 p.m. on the third Friday of each month at Grass Valley United Methodist Church. (This is an ecumenical event – meaning we participate with other churches that are not Lutheran, but with which the national Lutheran church has signed documents of theological agreement.)

During the summer, we have events to which the whole family is invited. See the Calendar of Events or contact the Youth & Outreach Coordinator.
