Reconciliation: “As We Forgive”

PEACE Lutheran Church has a special friendship with the central African nation of Rwanda. As a part of our celebration of that 25-year relationship, PEACE is offering a series of classes. Our focus: What can we learn here from the genocide, peace and reconciliation of Rwanda?

"As We Forgive" by Catherine Claire Larson inspires the 3-part series on "Reconciliation: As We Forgive."

PEACE member Jim Line will lead three classes on the reconciliation process that followed the Rwandan genocide of 1994. Classes are at 10 a.m. Sundays, April 29, May 6 and May 13 in the Fellowship Hall. Line’s discussion draws from the book by Catherine Claire Larson, “As We Forgive: Stories of Reconciliation from Rwanda.”

“If forgiveness is possible after genocide, then perhaps there is hope for the comparably smaller rifts that plague our relationships, our communities, and our nation,” wrote publisher Zondervan.
