In addition to our ministries at PEACE Lutheran Church to our congregation and to our community, we support more ministries in western Nevada County through congregational donations or contributions from small groups at Peace: Get Involved

Child Advocates of Nevada County – Addressing abuse and neglect of Nevada County children through advocacy, prevention, education and support.

Court Appointed Special Advocates – Advocating for the best interests of children who are dependents of Nevada County Dependency Court; a division of Child Advocates of Nevada County.

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition – Offering resources for building healthy relationships and providing services to heal the effects of interpersonal violence.

Emergency Assistance Coalition – Providing assistance for those needing emergency food, shelter and/or transportation. Dial 2-1-1 in Nevada County.

The Friendship Club – A prevention program designed to reach at-risk, high-school girls before they engage in unhealthy behaviors.

Hetty’s Haven – A shelter operated by Women of Worth for women and their children escaping domestic violence.

Interfaith Food Ministry Diaper Project – Providing disposable diapers for young children of families that also get groceries at Interfaith Food Ministry.

Kare Crisis Nursery – Providing safe and nurturing care for small children of families going through difficult times.

Living Well CenterHelping women with crisis pregnancies to see new possibilities for themselves and their babies.

Lunch at the Crossroads – Providing healthy meals served with dignity and respect in a community atmosphere.

Salvation Army Angel Tree – Providing Christmas gifts to families in need.

Salvation Army Booth Family Center – A shelter just outside Grass Valley for homeless families trying to rebuild their lives.

Foothill Children’s Chorus – This program to develop the beautiful voices of children began at PEACE Lutheran Church and used our facility for rehearsals and performances. The Chorus is in the process of reorganizing. For more information, contact the church office at (530) 273-9631.
