He is risen! Hallelujah!

On Easter Sunday, we will proclaim: “He is risen!” And then we will respond, “He is risen indeed – Hallelujah!” Which means, “God be praised!” Celebrate with us this most holy and joyous day when we remember the core truth of our faith: Jesus, God’s Son, died for us, then God raised him up to conquer death for all time. Through Jesus, we also inherit New Life here on Earth and forever with God after our earthly bodies die.

We are an Easter people! What a gift, priceless beyond anything we can imagine! We want you here with us to celebrate, to sing, to feast and to praise our loving, generous, redeeming God. He pours out His lavish love on all who seek Him – even you!

“Do not be alarmed… He has been raised!” – Mark 16: 6

For Easter, we break out our most beautiful music, our most inspiring songs, and our most beautiful adornments for our Sanctuary. At PEACE Lutheran Church, we know you will find the peace that God offers you. Celebrate with us at the 8:30 & 11 a.m. worship services this morning.

Dear Jesus, thank you for embracing me in this New Life that you offer all people! Amen!

Easter Brunch: Come to the Fellowship Center after each worship service for a light but delicious meal.

Easter Egg Hunt! Children of all ages are invited to come after the 11am worship service. Meet in the Fellowship Center to go downstairs for the indoor hunt (we never know what the weather will do!). We’ll start at about 12:30pm, first with the younger and shyer children, then have a second round with the older, more gregarious children.

Your spiritual growth

Like natural seasons, our church seasons have a special meaning for our spiritual growth. Today, we shift from the season of Lent, a 40-day period of self-examination, to Easter. It’s our highest holy day! (That’s right, NOT Christmas!) Easter celebrates new life: Jesus’ resurrection conquers death for all time. Our faith in Jesus’ loving sacrifice and victory renews our lives here on Earth and assures us of eternal life with the Triune God after our own earthly deaths. God wants to pour out that abundant love on you, too!!

Adult Bible Study

NO ADULT FORUM today! Instead, meet with us in the Fellowship Center to celebrate Easter with a light brunch.

The Adult Forum usually   meets in the Old Fellowship Hall at 10 a.m. Sundays. Pastor Eileen leads. Stop first in the Fellowship Center around the corner to pick up coffee & baked goods!

Sunday School

No Sunday School today! INSTEAD, we will meet at our usual time of 9:45 a.m. downstairs in the Youth Room to set out eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt.

Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn about our loving, gracious Creator.

Toddlers & babies

Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! Pick up an activity bag as you go into the Sanctuary (on the left in a basket, ask an usher). During the sermon, you can take your kids to our Nursery; a speaker is turned on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.

Toddler Time: If you’re interested in our special Sunday School program for the tiniest disciples, call (530) 575-6132 for information.
