Experience the miracle of Christmas with us! Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, so we hold our regular worship services in the morning, at 8:30 & 11 a.m. Please stay for the Christmas carol sing-along between worship services, starting at 9:45 a.m. in the Old Fellowship Hall.
Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you! – Luke 1:28
Our morning lessons focus on the miracle of God’s love for His people. To King David, God promises a legacy that will endure forever. To Mary, a young woman from Nazareth, God’s angel promises her child will reign over God’s people forever. These promises stem from the long-standing covenant God made to their ancestors: that through them, the whole world would be blessed with the miracle of new life.
Christmas Eve services: We celebrate at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. today, near downtown Grass Valley. Ample parking and handicapped access; drop off passengers by driving around the building to the carport.
4 p.m.: Lessons & Carols – Enjoy the singing of beloved Christmas hymns interspersed with Bible readings that relate the miracle of Christmas. The service includes Holy Communion.
10 p.m.: Candlelight Festival – Pageantry, grand music and candlelight highlight this “high church” worship service, with Holy Communion.
Dear God, please fill me with the miracle of your love this Christmas! Gather with us at PEACE Lutheran Church as we prepare ourselves and our world for the miracle of God’s kingdom.

No Adult Forum today! Instead, we will sing our favorite Christmas hymns, starting at 9:45 a.m. in the Old Fellowship Hall.
Most Sundays, the Adult Forum meets in the Old Fellowship Hall at 10 a.m., led by Pastor Eileen. Stop first in the Fellowship Center around the corner to pick up coffee & baked goods!
Sunday School
No Sunday School today! We resume Jan. 7.
Youth @ PEACE is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. We welcome all who yearn to learn more about our loving, gracious Creator.
Toddler Time
Kids in church: PLEASE bring your young children to church! Their fussing and squealing may pain you, but they make us glad! During the sermon, you can take them to our Nursery; a speaker is on so you can hear the sermon and follow the service.
Your spiritual growth
Today is the last Sunday in the season of Advent! “Advent” refers to the coming of Christ – as a human child at Christmas, but also in Spirit as God’s Kingdom breaks into our lives here and now. It’s the beginning of a new year in the church’s calendar of spiritual seasons, when “end times” lead to “new times.”
