Jesus will heal you!

It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done. Jesus came to earth to heal all people, regardless of where they are from or what their background is. All he asks is that you believe him.

Jesus found faith in all kinds of surprising people. In today’s story, it’s a Roman captain, in charge of 100 soldiers. He’s an enemy of Israel. An invader. An oppressor.

Despite his pagan roots, this Roman has come to believe in the One True God. He believes Jesus is sent by God. And he reaches out – asking Jesus to heal a slave the captain “valued highly.” This captain reaches across cultural, religious and political divides to find healing and peace in his life.

“Speak the word, and let my servant be healed.” – Luke 7:7

Jesus finds such deep faith in this man that he is “amazed,” and heals the captain’s slave at once. This captain is not one of God’s Chosen People, yet Jesus answers his request with a resounding “Yes!”

Open your heart, and allow Jesus to say “Yes!” to the deep maladies in your life that need to be healed! At PEACE, we all need healing. We would like to walk on the Path with you!

Nooma. The Greek work for “spirit” and “breath” is pneuma, which spelled phonetically sounds like “nooma.” This series of short films takes ordinary situations we all have faced and looks at them from the perspective of Jesus’ teachings. The idea is to mold our lives to live the way Jesus taught. Nooma films feature Christian leader Rob Bell.

Youth @ PLC is our all-ages Bible study, where young disciples learn the core stories of our faith and what it means to walk the Jesus Path. Bring your questions, doubts and challenges to God, the Bible and the Church – they are welcome here!
