Parents treasure the memories of their children growing up. Today’s story is a mother’s treasured memory of her son, Jesus, who did something extraordinary when he was 12 years old.

“After three days, they found him in the temple.” – Luke 2:46

Jesus had been with his family in Jerusalem for the Passover, and when the group left for home, he stayed behind in the Temple. Mary had raised him knowing he was someone special, marked by God for a special mission. Suddenly, Mary saw her son, at this young age, starting to do his Father’s work. What a bittersweet memory for Mary!

At PEACE, we welcome all those who are curious about doing God’s work in the world!

Today’s Bible readings: 1 Samuel 2:18-20,26; Psalm 148; Colossians 3:12-17; Luke 2:41-52
