Give it all!

What does it mean to take up the cross of Jesus and follow him? Didn’t Jesus die for us? How does following Jesus lead us to the cross?

Jesus takes us to more questions: Who do we say Jesus is?  And if we follow Jesus, then who are we? Who am I?

In answering, we may find that, what we give up isn’t worth keeping anyway, as we learn to live out what we believe. Learn more by coming to worship today!

In Our Prayers

As fires blaze all over the United States, we remember all fire fighters in our prayers and commend their safety to the Lord who watches over all His children. If you have a fire fighter in your thoughts and would like us to pray for this person by name, please contact the church office at (530) 273-9631.

Adult Bible Study

“What is a Lutheran?” Pastor Eileen leads the study starting at 10 a.m. This 3-week series will take a serious and lighthearted look at what it means to call ourselves “Lutheran.” This is an opportunity for all of us to deepen our understanding of our Lutheran identity.

And, for those interested in becoming members at PEACE, you can learn more about the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and how we live out our Lutheran identity at Peace.

Ice Cream Trough Party Today!! The kick-off for our new Sunday School term will be at 9:50 a.m. on the downstairs patio. Classes for all ages start at 9:50 am. Sunday, Sep. 20, including a fun, new program for “tweens” ages 9-12.

WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS! If you have a heart for young disciples, please see Trina.

Youth @ PLC (our all-ages Bible study) teaches key Bible stories – the cornerstone for a lifetime of faith. Younger readers, tweens and teens open each session together, have break-out groups for age-appropriate reading and discussion, then regroup for a joint closing. Often, we also have a large-group activity. Contact Trina Kleist for more information: trinakleist@gmail.com or call/txt (530) 575-6132.
